Former Swan Hill residents take to the skies.
The Lake Boga flying Boat Base is celebrating 75 years since it's involvement in WW2.
Commencing today the celebrations kick off at the Catalina Museum and lake foreshore running through until Sunday.
Manager of the Catalina Museum Daryl Allen says today people will witness flying boats land on the lake with the arrival of the Flying Boat Association.
Saturday is the main day with the full air show featuring the Paul Bennetts Air Show and one of the airshow's aerobatic pilots is former Swan Hill resident Glen Graham who will be performing his flying skills in the skies over the lake.
Another former Swan Hill resident who also learnt to fly at the Swan Hill Airport is commercial airline pilot for Virgin Airlines Russell Banks who also performs aerobatic tricks.
Russell says he will be performing his aerial skills tomorrow with a routine he designed himself.
The celebrations wind up on Sunday with 66 stalls already booked for the community market and people will get to see the planes depart Lake Boga.
