More Drug Busts as Police Cracks Down Further
Mildura Police, Mallee detectives and the dog squad have all combined with the Swan Hill Police to make a series of drug busts last Thursday.
Police executed search warrants simultaneously at two addresses in Swan Hill, plus addresses in Castle Donnington and Nyah West, with police seizing large amounts of drugs from all four properties.
Methyl amphetamine was the main drug seized during the raids.
Five men aged between 32 and 53 have been arrested and charged with trafficking drugs and a variety of other offences.
Senior Sergeant David Bowler says the community again helped police take more drugs out of the region.
"Drug crime has such a far and wide reaching effect, so it's good to get these people off the streets," Bowler said.
"We couldn't have done it without the information from the public."
