Eden's life changing call
Woorinen Tiger Eden Zanker has formally been invited to the AFLW draft next Wednesday.
The key position player made a splash in her first ever season of Aussie Rules for the premiers and could now soar to the heights of the AFLW.
Speaking to MixxFm/3SH, Eden said she was grateful to everyone who 'put in the one per centers' to get her to where she is today.
"Today, just about half an hour ago, I got an invite to the draft next Wednesday and I am ecstatic for it," she said.
"I am sort of lost for words really. it will top off a mammoth year I have had.
"Going from local footy to being invited to a draft, it is mind blowing and can't believe how big this year is in my first year."
Eden will follow in the footsteps of Bella Ayre, who currently plays for the Brisbane Lions, after she left the Woorinen Tigers to play in the first ever AFLW match for Carlton in 2016.
Although she has only been playing for one season, Eden always had a self belief she could do anything.
"I knew AFLW was out and about, I always had an eye on it, but I didn't think I'd make it."
